IPC Training and Certification

IPC Training and Certification

Developed and approved by electronics manufacturers worldwide

Like the standards, the IPC training programs and certifications are developed with the participation of leading electronics manufacturers from various countries, including their content and test questions. The completed training and certification programs are reviewed and evaluated by a variety of companies. As a result, they are recognized and validated by the global electronics industry.

More than 200,000 companies and individuals per year obtain IPC certifications worldwide

Examples of companies involved in training and certification development

Based on evaluation criteria proven by the above companies and other top electronics manufacturers, we have developed systematic training programs to enable customers to learn to judge whether a product is acceptable or unacceptable. The same training is provided anywhere in the world, and the program is highly regarded for its ability to unify judgment criteria across borders and languages, and for its ability to clarify and simplify communication. In recent years, an increasing number of companies in Europe and the U.S. are no longer accepting IPC compliance only on the basis of self-assessment, but are requiring companies to obtain IPC-approved certification and attend training. Many companies have voiced their desire to unify their standards with those in Japan and overseas, saying that it is too late to do so after being requested to do so by their overseas business partners. In recent years, demand for training in Japanese has been on the rise.

Understand international standards and prove your credibility on a global scale.

Smart decision-making, quality products, and reliable performance essential to success…These are essential in the ever competitive and evolving electronics industry. To support the ever-changing demands, IPC offers a variety of training and certification methods. IPC’s training and certification credentials are offered based on several IPC standards that are considered globally important.

Global trade in the electronics industry has established IPC as a substantial global standard, with an increasing number of companies requiring manufacturing and quality control in accordance with IPC standards and criteria. In Japan, an increasing number of Japanese companies are utilizing and referring to the 610 and other IPC standards, and an increasing number of companies are seeking to obtain certification because it is too late to do so after being required to do so by their overseas business partners. We also received the following other comments

We need training on 610.”Our clients in the U.S. and Europe are requesting CIS…”I don’t know if I understand the IPC correctly.I want to make sure that all of our various domestic and overseas offices share the same understanding of IPC.We want to educate new employees on basic manufacturing standards.

Jointly developed by IPC and Japan Unix.

World’s first online trainingOver 90,000 IPC-A-610 annual certifiersJointly developed an online training program that allows participants to take the globally standardized training program in Japanese and anytime, anywhere.

The program enables training in an online environment for some standards, including 610, which is the most widely adopted by most companies, and certification testing at over 200 affiliated testing centers nationwide. Certifications obtained through this program can be presented directly to international trade and overseas clients as IPC-recognized certifications.

By having the training and participation of a certified person as a project member, you will be able to provide your customers with more peace of mind and confidence in your contracts and customer requirements.

International certification for soldering, J-STD-001 compliant training program

Over 60,000 annual J-STD-001 certifiers

J-STD-001 training is an international standard for soldering in the electronics industry and is recognized worldwide as an alternative to proprietary standards, not only by general industry, but also by NASA and other space and aviation organizations.

Through this training and certification, you will simultaneously gain knowledge and skills in materials, methodologies, and high quality soldering manufacturing standards. It is the only globally adopted soldering training that teaches the importance of process control and globally agreed soldering requirements.

This training also aims to clarify the differences between Japanese and international standards in soldering and to eliminate misunderstandings in overseas transactions.

Learn world-standard rework and repair skills; IPC-7711/21 certification

Rework and repair is an essential part of electronics products.

Rework and repair is an essential part of electronics products.IPC-7711/21 training is unparalleled in its focus on rework, repair, and modification. It has been acquired by OEMs worldwide as well as EMS and electronics service companies specializing in rework and repair.

Many companies have established standards for soldering mounting standards (equivalent to J-STD-001) and workmanship of mounted products (equivalent to IPC-A-610) in their product manufacturing processes, but they have not established specific procedures and standards for rework and repair, relying instead on field experience.

This training will make it possible to standardize rework and repair procedures and quality on a global and operator level, which has been difficult to standardize in the past.
