Soldering with a soldering iron involves heating the component with a warm soldering iron tip, which utilizes the principle of heat conduction. On the other hand, laser soldering heats the surface that has been irradiated with a laser. It employs the principle of surface heating through laser irradiation.\n\nTherefore, soldering has a gradual and diffusive heat distribution, while laser soldering rapidly and selectively raises the temperature. These are the differences in the heating principles. Soldering can be divided into four stages. Those who have soldered before may understand it, but since it happens in an instant, you may not be aware of it. Let's unravel it a bit. First, solder does not immediately attach.\n\nIt requires heating. It needs to reach the melting point. First, we heat it until it reaches the melting point. We call this \"preheating.\" Once it has reached the temperature at which solder melts, we then feed the solder. We call this phase \"main heating.\"\n\nAfter preheating and feeding the solder, there is a period during which the solder spreads sufficiently. We call this phase \"post-heating.\" When it has spread sufficiently, we move to the \"cooling\" phase. Preheating, main heating, post-heating, and cooling. These four processes make up the soldering process. Just like the soldering iron you saw earlier, preheating has started now. Then, we proceed with the main heating by feeding solder. Before ensuring the solder spreads properly, we feed sufficient solder, and then we move on to the post-heating phase.
